This figure represents the strides taken to venture into “the unknown” of life, using their strengths & weaknesses (depicted with a sun & moon in the upper corners) to take a chance with the nature of the beast.
Shedding skin is never an instant drop of weight. Identical to our literal epidermis, these emotional etchings chip & rip over a lifetime, the remainder left to mature. The ever-changing results of my sculpted self never feel as unfamiliar, as alien as promised. I will evolve with patience & persistence, for grace is never guaranteed.
